Hello dear friends! I never thought I’d get to say this, but we had a white Christmas in Salem, OR! Woohoo!
I did a bit of a photo shoot of the finished product (using Handspun Legacy and Café Shetland from my shop) and my work in progress (Knitted Wit Gems from my local yarn shop - Wild Knits Salem). The pattern is 60% done and is in the final stages. Most of the hold up had to do with me not being able to find a local test knitter, finding substitute yarn, getting the math sorted out, and being swamped at work. But I’m happy to say that it should be ready before the year ends!
I apologize for the delay — it does come with its perks. I’m giving a special anniversary freebie to folks who purchase my yarn to knit this pattern (aside from the pattern itself being free). That part’s a mystery 😅. I’m still working on making LYS partnerships with some local yarn shops so they can also benefit from knitters’ purchase of my pattern through Ravelry. So if you know of a local yarn shop that is interested, please let me know. I’m also creating a variation of this customizeable elf hat and I can’t wait for the final reveal. 🥰
While you are waiting for the official release, as an email subscriber, you get 25% off all items from my shop from December 27, 2021-January 8, 2022. The coupon code is HAPPY1ST.
I’m so grateful for the year that has passed and I hope to continue to have your support for the years to come. Stay warm and happy holidays! 🎄🎁🎉
